DDR3-1867 Direct Attach Low Cost Component Interposers Analog Validation Oscilloscope

Nexus Technology recommends direct attach DDR component interposers as a low cost alternate to the target socketed component interposers for oscilloscope applications requiring optimal analog validation of speeds up to DDR3-1867, DDR2-1067, or for embedded applications, in general.

These interposers allow for oscilloscope acquisition of command, address, read, and write data of x4, x8 and/or x16 DDR memory components at speeds up to DDR3-1867 or DDR2-1067.

Component Interposer Design

Optimal DDR validation requires analysis of the DDR signals, as seen by the memory components. This allows for the highest confidence that the signals captured are representative, contain little interference, and present the maximum possible data eye size. These low cost component interposers allow for oscilloscope probing of the DDR signals extremely close to the memory components.

Also Available - Premier Target Socketed & TLA Component Interposers

Also available are logic analyzer and oscilloscope component interposers with target socket connections for easy assembly/rework and quick swapping between customer targets, component interposers, and DDR3 components. These products are also available for DDR2.

Direct Attach Component Interposer Features

Probe at the BGA Balls
The best place to probe to eliminate reflections associated with standard embedded DDR mid-bus probing or other methods. Interposers require no target footprints or special routing requirements that mid-bus probing requires.
Use with Existing Embedded Designs or DIMMs
No need to change existing designs. Simply add the interposer to your embedded target or DIMM with no re-design or added probe points.
Support for DDR3 x4, x8, and x16 Memory Devices
Full coverage for DDR applications at speeds up to 1,867MT/s (DDR3-1867).
Oscilloscope Interposer Software
Oscilloscope filter software removes effect of interposer. Available from Tektronix.
