DDRII NEXVu miniDIMM (mini-VDIMM) & Software

The DDRII NEXVu product line allows for acquisition of Address/Command, Read and Write Data of 244-pin, Registered DDRII 667 (or slower). Supports PC2-3200/PC2-4200/PC2-5300 (DDR2-400, DDR2-533, DDR2-667).

The DDRII NEXVu are extended, DDRII miniDIMMs designed to JEDEC standards with logic analyzer probe points. This provides unmatched signal fidelity and allows the capture of the actual eye-patterns, as seen by the memory components.

The size of DDRII data eyes are always greater at the memory components than at the edge connector - where interposer/extender designs capture the eye. At higher DDRII speeds this difference in eye sizes becomes critical not just for signal analysis but for logic analyzer capture. Probing at the memory components, where the eye is larger, may be the only way of capturing both synchronous and accurate timing information of high-speed DDRII buses.

Selective Clocking stores data when Commands are present and for thirteen clock cycles after Column Address assertion, resulting in more DDRII Bus Cycle activity and fewer Idle cycles stored in acquisition memory.

Simultaneous state and timing on every channel of the TLA.

Pre-defined Symbols for easy Trigger Setup for the following Command Cycles: Read Col Address Read, Write Col Address Write, Mode Register Set, Row Address Strobe, No Operation, Ignore Command Data, Burst Stop, Refresh, Precharge, and Precharge Select Bank.

Memory Options

Memory populated NEXVu miniDIMM that is ready to install and use. Micron memory components of varying memory depths are available.
Passive component populated NEXVu DIMM that is fully populated with everything except the memory components. This option is available for customers who wish to solder on their own memory components.

System Requirements

DDRII 667 MT/s Read and Write Acquisition Requires
- TLA Application Software V4.2 or later
  - Three, merged, 450MHz state speed acquisition modules (TLA7AA4 or TLA7AB4)
  - Four NEX-PRB1X probes.
  - Two NEX-PRB4X probes.
